The Pre-Travel Academy is specially designed for 2012 and 2013 players (U8s and U7s) who are more serious about soccer, that excel in their teams and need a more competitive and challenging environment to develop as young athletes. The Pre-Travel Academy is designed to provide a competitive atmosphere while furnishing the players with positive experiences to nurture their self-esteem, confidence and passion for the game.
CYA professional staff will apply age appropriate training curriculum focused primarily on foot skills, and the introduction of basic soccer concepts in order to offer highest development program for U8s and U7s.
The U7 and U8 Full Academy pools will train 2 x week and will play inter-squad matches or against other clubs U7s & U8s on Saturdays.
The U7 Part Time Academy pool will register with the CYA recreational program in addition to the Pre-Travel program. The U7 Part Time Academy pool will train once a week with their Pre Travel pool and play 2 - 3 PTA games over the course of the season.
Please note: The 2013 (U7 Part Time Academy) players must register for CYA Rec Soccer in order to participate in Pre Travel. The players will train and play games each week with their assigned rec team in addition to the Pre Travel Academy, unless less they register for the PTA Full Time Academy program (optional). Your Rec coach will contact you with the recreational practice schedule and Saturday game schedule once teams are assigned.
The Pre-Travel Academy pools will most likely comprise the base player pool for our CYA U9 and U10 travel teams for Fall 2019. We will be holding a Q & A mid season to talk about Travel Soccer and Tryouts.
